Arvis Jose Mena Lescay was born in Havana, Cuba in 1984. He began his musical journey playing the piano at the early age of 8 years old, when his parents discovered his musical abilities.

When he was 9 years old he began his studies at the world famous Adolfo Guzmán Music School.

Arvis, has performed as a Bass player with very important bands in Cuba in virtually every musical genre: from straight ahead jazz to traditional Cuban styles; from funk to rock to Latin fusion.

 

In 2010 he moved to Australia where he has worked with different bands ,as a session musician, participating in various albums with local and international artists until in 2016 he got together with very talented musicians and founded the De Cuba Son band. Where he plays the Bass and also Sings.
